At HEL, we don’t just design brakes - we machine, hand-assemble, and rigorously test everything in-house. That full control means we can stand by the quality, durability, and performance of every product we make. Our components are purposely built to thrive in the harshest riding conditions but we also fully understand that things don’t always go to plan out on the trail.
That’s why all HEL brake lines are backed by a lifetime warranty, while all other products such as brake systems, mainline components, accessories, and spare parts are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
If you bought your HEL product through a local bike shop or an online distributor, please reach out to them directly to start your claim. We actively choose to work with dealers who are on top of their product and customer support, so these claims move fast and help avoid unnecessary downtime.

CRASH REPLACEMENT
Crashes are an inevitable part of riding. Bikes often get slammed into trees, dragged through rock gardens, and launched into things they really shouldn’t - it’s all part of the experience. At HEL, we ride too, so we get it. That’s why we’re here to support you when the unexpected happens.
If your brakes are damaged in a crash and it’s outside the warranty period, we won’t leave you hanging. All HEL brake systems and mainline components are covered by a 12-month warranty - starting from the date of dispatch if purchased directly from us, or from the date of purchase if bought through your local shop or dealer (just make sure you’ve got proof).
Through our crash replacement scheme, we’ll do everything we can to get you back on the trail without the fuss. In most cases, we can offer replacement parts at a discounted rate, or you can send your brakes in for a rebuild.*
Crash replacement is available only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. You can use the scheme once per brake system within three years of the original dispatch or purchase date. Replacements will match the same model and colour scheme - there is strictly no switching or upgrading models or colours. It'll be an exact replacement for what you had.
And please, no funny business. This isn’t a mandatory service - we offer it because we care, and because we hate not being able to ride our bikes too. We appreciate every single rider who chooses to support our small brand, and we’re stoked to be part of your build - but let’s keep it fair. If you’ve changed your frame colour and your HEL brake system doesn’t match anymore, that’s not our problem. Don’t go breaking stuff on purpose just to put in a claim - crash replacement isn’t an excuse to get a fresh set of brakes. Yeah, we wish we didn’t have to say this either...
*Crash replacement discounts and service availability are offered at our discretion and depend on the nature of the damage, product availability, and the condition of the returned item.

LEGAL - WARRANTY & CRASH REPLACEMENT SCHEME
Warranty Terms
Subject to the conditions set out below, HEL Performance warrants that the Goods will correspond with their specification and will be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of delivery.
The above warranty is given by HEL Performance subject to the following conditions:
HEL Performance shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal operating conditions, failure to follow HEL Performance’s instructions, or misuse of the Goods without HEL Performance’s approval.
HEL Performance shall be under no liability under the above warranty (or any other warranty, condition, or guarantee) if the total price for the Goods has not been paid by the due date for payment.
HEL Performance shall be under no liability under the above warranty (or any other warranty, condition, or guarantee) if the Goods have been altered or repaired in any manner outside of HEL Performance’s premises.
HEL Performance shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from use of the Goods in racing conditions or from modifications made to them.
HEL Performance shall be under no liability under brands other than HEL Performance or any unbranded Goods not of HEL Performance’s manufacture. Such Goods are sold subject to the conditions and guarantee (if any) of the original manufacturer.
Subject as expressly provided in these Conditions and except where the Goods are sold to a person dealing as a consumer (within the meaning of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977), all warranties, conditions, or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law, and HEL Performance shall not accept any liability for consequential loss.
Where the Goods are sold under a consumer transaction (as defined by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976), the statutory rights of the Buyer are not affected by these Conditions.
Any claim by the Buyer which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to correspond with specification shall (whether or not delivery is refused by the Buyer) be notified to HEL Performance within 7 days of the date of delivery or (where the defect or failure was not apparent on reasonable inspection) within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect or failure. If delivery is not refused and the Buyer does not notify HEL Performance accordingly, the Buyer shall not (except in respect of a defect or failure not apparent on reasonable inspection) be entitled to reject the Goods, and HEL Performance shall have no liability for such defect or failure, and the Buyer shall be bound to pay the price as if the Goods had been delivered in accordance with the Contract.
Where the Buyer wishes to make any claim in respect of any of the Goods which is based on any defect in quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to meet specification and notifies HEL Performance accordingly, the Buyer must return the Goods to HEL Performance’s premises within 30 days of delivery (failure to do so will render any claim void) carriage paid. If HEL Performance accepts the claim, HEL Performance shall be entitled to replace the Goods free of charge or, at our discretion, refund to the Buyer the price of the HEL Performance Goods, but HEL Performance shall have no further liability to the Buyer.
Any HEL Performance Goods made to special order may not be returned unless defective.
HEL Performance may, at its sole discretion, accept return of Goods for credit, provided:
- A handling charge of 20% may be levied at HEL Performance’s sole discretion.
- The goods are returned to HEL Performance, carriage paid, in resalable condition.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by HEL Performance’s negligence, HEL Performance shall not be liable to the Buyer by reason of any representation (except fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition, or other term, or any duty at common law or under the express terms of the Contract, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise), costs, expenses, or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by the negligence of HEL Performance, its employees or agents, or otherwise) which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the Goods or their use or resale by the Buyer or the provision of the Services, and the entire liability of HEL Performance under or in connection with the Contract shall not exceed the price of the Goods or relevant Services, except as expressly provided in these Conditions.
HEL Performance shall not be liable to the Buyer or be deemed in breach of the Contract by reason of delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of HEL Performance’s obligations in relation to the Goods or the provision of the Services, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond HEL Performance’s reasonable control.
Crash Replacement Scheme
The HEL Crash Replacement Scheme is a voluntary service provided by HEL Performance to support customers who experience product damage resulting from crashes or accidental impacts occurring outside of the standard warranty period.
This scheme is offered at HEL Performance’s sole discretion and is subject to the following terms:
Crash replacement is available only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase must be provided to initiate a claim.
The scheme applies exclusively to HEL brake systems and mainline components and does not cover third-party items or consumables.
The scheme may be used once per brake system within three (3) years of the original dispatch date (for direct orders) or the date of purchase (for goods purchased via authorised HEL dealers).
The replacement will be of the same model and colour scheme as the original product. Requests for upgrades, changes in model, or colour substitutions will not be accepted under this scheme.
HEL Performance reserves the right to evaluate the condition of the damaged product before confirming eligibility for crash replacement.
In most cases, HEL Performance may offer replacement parts at a discounted rate or may allow the customer to send in the product for rebuild or service. The exact level of support provided will depend on the nature of the damage, availability of parts, and the returned condition of the item.
The scheme does not apply in cases of deliberate damage, misuse, or attempts to manipulate eligibility. HEL Performance reserves the right to reject any claim deemed to be in bad faith.
Crash replacement does not extend or replace the original warranty, nor does participation in the scheme create a new warranty period.
HEL Performance reserves the right to alter, suspend, or terminate the Crash Replacement Scheme at any time, without prior notice.
