We've all done it before and grabbed a flathead screwdriver to pry the brake pads apart after squeezing the lever with no rotor in place - but the Park Tool PS-1 Pad Spreader is the purpose-built fix. With a rotor-shaped stainless steel head and a precision-tapered edge, it slides cleanly between pads to reset them without risk to pistons or pad surface and edge. The long, vinyl-dipped handle offers solid leverage and a comfy grip. Bonus content - it doubles-up as a rotor stand-in during bleeds or system tests, so you can service without reinstalling the wheel every time.
